What We Believe

Your Child - God's Image Bearer

Your child is made in the image of God. Your child, bearing the image of God, thrives in an environment filled with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control). By the grace of God, this is precisely the environment we provide for students of The Samuel School!

We understand that the nurturing and support of a child's spirit of the utmost importance. When a person's spirit is properly supported, their emotions, physical health and mental capacity excel in growth. At The Samuel School, we seek and embrace the reality of the Kingdom of God for the benefit of the school. God's promise in Matthew 6:33 is that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything else will be added. Everything else includes the very best we can ask for regarding life in general and education in specific.

Your Child - Coming to Jesus at Home, School and Everywhere

God is very clear that we are to make away, even if it includes suffering, for children to come to Him (Luke 18:16). This coming to Jesus was never intended to be secularized, as if it was possible to put God in a box. But rather, this coming to Jesus is a way of life, a way of living (John 14:6). Coming to Jesus is to be demonstrated in all of life, at home, in class, in learning, with friends and with family. If we desire for children to live a life filled with faith where they learn to walk with God by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, then it makes sense to join a schools, such as The Samuel School, that support that mission!

Your Child - Created with A Purpose

Your child was created with a specific God-given purpose. Our honor is to discover, nurture and release your child in that purpose. When your child walks in the purpose for which God has created them, then, and only then, will they truly be living life to its fullest! I tell my students, a snowblower does not delight in cutting the grass. How much more important is it for each and everyone of us to discover the purpose for which God has created us!
